Doing the double seemed like a good idea and it is but I had better get some miles in quick!

Doing the double for Blind Veterans UK seemed like such a good idea. I like swimming, I like cycling and I can run so raising money for a worthwhile charity doing these events was natural. But there’s so much to think about

This summer the Optician charity challenges doubles up the Fambridge Yacht Haven Half Iron Triathlon with the Prudential Ride London. The first consists of a 1.9km swim in the sea, a 90km cycle around the Essex countryside and then a gruelling 18km run. The London 2012 Olympics mapped out the route for the Prudential ride which starts at the Olympic Park in East London before stretching out into the Surrey Hills. It returns to end on the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace. Potentially a 150-mile day.
