There's a surreal feel about things at the moment. With the Optician Awards and Optrafair just around the corner it feels as though all hell should be breaking loose.
As it is the Easter holidays are in full swing giving roads and workplaces an eerily quiet feel while, for the big events mentioned, everything has been so well organised that its all been done! Well almost.
In between script writing for the Optician Awards, bringing out a weekly magazine during the Easter break and daily meetings about Optrafair I found myself heading down to Brighton to have a look at Specsavers' latest retail concept. Now it may just be me but Brighton, driving and parking are always an issue. For various reasons the train wasn't going to be an option for me so I decided to drive most of the way and then use the Park and Ride - very Brightonesque.
