Theo puts Gangsters in the frame

Simon Jones

Theo Eyewear has released the three-strong Gangsters collection - inspired by notorious American criminals Al Capone and Bonnie and Clyde.

The men's Capone (above) frame has a pronounced rectangular vintage shape. Thick acetate, available in six different hues, is given a modern touch through the use of 3D sculpting on the fronts, along with abruptly tapered temples.

The Bonnie and Clyde frames (below), for women and men respectively, also feature the disincentive temple design and 3D acetate, but have softer shapes.

Both models have round silhouettes, but the men's Clyde frame has a more masculine flat brow.
