Well an extraction actually.
With all this talk of professional fees I thought I would share a little tale..........Late last Friday night my ten year old decided that he had toothache. Now being a frugal editor I have an NHS dentist in London despite having moved to the country some years ago. Needless to say dentists don't work at the weekend and with floods, distance etc a journey to our NHS regular was out of the question.
So on Saturday morning my Ironman training was interupted as I ventured into the world of emergency private dentistry. Not easy.
When I eventually found someone willing to work on my son I had to ask the inevitable ' how much' question.
' Well it's £73 for the first 10 minutes,' came the reply. ' Mr X can then decide if we can do anything to help,' said a very nice lady.
The amazing thing was she made me feel as though they were doing me a favour. Now that's what I call professional fees.
