Our new policy committee has produced in-depth positions on a wide range of optical issues

‘Clarify the policy areas that the Association of Optometrists leads on.’  This was one of the overriding themes from our 2013 member research reflecting our new members’ desire for greater representation to address professional concerns. While  77% of respondents said we understand and represent members effectively, it was clear that more needed to be done to ensure that the voice of the individual optometrist is heard at a national level.

Three years on and our new policy committee has produced in-depth positions on a wide range of optical issues, from sight test fees to CET grants, pre-registration placements and children’s eye care.
