View from the BCLA

It barely seems possible but, somehow, another year is almost over. 2019 has absolutely flown by and it has been an unforgettable 12 months.

Having the chance to lead the BCLA is an absolute privilege and I am relishing the opportunity to represent our members and take us into a new decade – a decade that will doubtless present us with a host of new opportunities.

For the wider profession, 2019 may well go down as a key milestone in contact lenses. The publication of the much-anticipated International Myopia Institute Reports, featuring evidence-based guidance compiled by 85 multi-disciplinary experts from around the world, will form a basis for clinical practice and future research.
