View from the High Street: Maintaining relationships in an age of change

Ross Campbell reflects on recent life-changing events

This past month has seen momentous changes that will impact my life, and the lives of many others for decades to come. Changes that will most definitely be positive, but some that will also be negative, depending on your point of view. I am of course referencing the birth of my first child, who decided to make an appearance a couple of weeks earlier than scheduled. He was born a few days before the EU referendum, which apparently has also been making the news recently.

The early arrival of my son at 4.30am did unfortunately result in patients being inconvenienced following a cancelled clinic, but I’m sure they will forgive me for not being in work while I get used to the sleepless nights and nappy changes. On a totally not-unrelated matter, I’m currently thinking of installing a coffee machine to the practice on my return from paternity leave.
