View from the high street: Time to get your business plans in order

Happy New Year! January has almost gone and for most of us Christmas seems but a distant memory. Possibly the only remnants of the holiday season are the after effects of too much Christmas pudding.

How are you getting on with any resolutions you made? New Year’s Day often splits people into two camps – the ones that consider it is just another day and those, like me, who relish the opportunity to ‘wipe the slate clean’, ‘make a fresh start’ etc etc. Of course there is no logical reason whatsoever to wait until January 1 to do this, but somehow it just seems more appropriate, like starting a diet on Monday morning not Saturday afternoon.
