- With reference to the news article on page 5 of the December 8 edition. You've got to laugh - the chairman of the Optometric Fees Review Committee seems to have an appropriate name, don't you think?
It seems to me that 'Robin Banks' is the only way an independent practitioner will ever make any money from his services if our professional bodies' negotiating powers aren't improved!
I'm sure that the negotiating was tough, but the DoH must be laughing all the way to Specsavers, and the 'significant concessions for the future' will be some other chancellor's problem!
