The images for each of the six cases of that make up this CET module are common presentations in primary care optometric practice.

It is important to remember that all GOC registrants have a duty of care regarding facial and adnexal lesions. This is yet more important to remember when one considers the insidious nature of the onset of some of these concerns. Because of this, it may be that the lesion is identified at a routine appointment.

Regular attendance for eye checks, dental checks and other various allied healthcare appointments positions these services as key in future health screening. If conditions that have not warranted someone self-referring to a doctor are not to be identified in community eye care practice, then an opportunity for the eye care professions to establish a greater role in health screening is wasted. Perhaps more importantly, potential opportunities to make an impact on the incidence or severity of some common conditions are also missed.

Please note that the cases will appear in a random order.
