Optrafair Exchange 2019

The UK’s leading optical exhibition since 1978

Where: Birmingham NEC

The UK’s leading optical exhibition since 1978, the renamed Optrafair Exchange unites manufactures, labs, suppliers and distributors, eye care professionals and their representatives and professional bodies and educators.

Organised by the FMO and MA Exhibitions, Optrafair 2019 is ‘widening its reach to incorporate fashion, medicalisation and optics’.

The trade show, which has been running for more than 40 years, has established itself as ‘the place to close deals, be immersed in the latest clinical thinking, receive sound business advice and get hands-on with new products and equipment’.

FMO chairman, Andy Yorke, comments: ‘Optics is changing. Innovation and adaptability are now more important than ever for optical professionals to future proof their practice. The modern optician needs to diversify and invest, push the boundaries and explore new opportunities.’

Yorke says, ‘positioning your practice as a primary care provider for sensory health will more than double your potential audience overnight and will improve patient care’.

Optrafair Exchange, he says, will teach practitioners to increase patient numbers, balance services with fashion, break down barriers to care, discover new revenue streams and will offer unrivalled networking opportunities.

Alongside a larger exhibition will be a completely restructured education programme. This diverse programme covers eight distinct streams; Dispensing, Contact Lenses, Orthoptic, Refractive, Health & Lifestyle, Technician, Clinical Optometry and Business.
