Optician reports on a new educational event from Optegra Eye Sciences on cataract and refractive surgery that aims to become a regular fixture on the CET calendar

Aston University was the venue for a joint symposium organised by Optegra Eye Sciences and ZEISS Academy, entitled ‘Contemporary Solutions for Cataract and Refractive Surgery’.

70 delegates attended the event, making for a multidisciplinary audience consisting of ophthalmologists, clinical and research optometrists, healthcare professionals, industry representatives and business managers from the UK and overseas, all keen to earn CET or CPD points while keeping up to date through a mix of quizzes, exhibition, lectures and peer sessions.

The cabaret style arrangement facilitated interaction and discussion between colleagues and speakers and a separate exhibition area provided a space for delegates to catch up, attempt CET quizzes and enjoy lunch.
