BCLA Preview: Getting into focus

Optician previews BCLA's Focus event, with both in-person and remote access

BCLA Focus will be held on Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12 with interested parties able to either attend in-person at the Vox Conference Centre in Birmingham or stream the main lecture track remotely from home. Organisers say the past, present and future of contact lenses will be the focus at this new event, with global experts presenting lectures and communicating their knowledge at in-depth workshops.

The event is open to members and non-members of the BCLA and among the highlights of the programme will be a session presented by Professor James Wolffsohn and Professor Lyndon Jones, looking at what has been learned over the past 10 years that has changed clinical practice. The session will be chaired by BCLA president Neil Retallic, who says: ‘It is important to keep up with innovations in ophthalmic technology to offer the best options for a patient’s health and vision-related quality of life.’
