The Coopervision Force student awards acknowledges student projects from the universities of the UK and Ireland and offers the winners a chance to present their findings to panels of experts at a UK and international level. There were three projects shortlisted from the UK this year. This article will outline the winning project, which went on to be presented at the international Force event (see page 20) and the runners up will feature in the coming weeks.
