Contact Lenses: All day, every day

Mike Hale rounds up some of the highlight offerings in the single use contact lens sector

Menicon has recently launched a multifocal version of its Miru 1day Flat Pack contact lens, its first daily disposable for presbyopia in the UK. The new 1day product is said to offer improved vision through Menicon’s Neuro Adaptive Design, which sees the centre of the lens cater to short sightedness whereas the peripherals are for far-sightedness with a low-amplitude change in power leading to a smooth transition along the optical focal path. Menicon says the product also benefits from its packaging, which allows the inner surface of the lens to remain hygienic and is made from recycled plastics.
