Every day Optician readers are solving problems, helping people to see, resolving concerns and detecting illness that might otherwise have made life worse for the sufferer. Optician has always been keen on publishing case studies. As with other publications, these have often tended to focus on the unusual or obscure (take our recent case study of a contact lens that had remained in situ for many years) or are written from those in academia used to publishing in the clinical or professional press.
Whenever I attend a peer discussion event or other live event, I love hearing of the various cases colleagues have been involved with in their practices.
