Practice owners in Stevenage are providing quality community eye care. Luke Haynes reports

Stevenage is a town that has changed dramatically over the last 100 years. After the devastation of World War II, government officials looked to ease the capital’s housing crisis by expanding several settlements outside of London. Despite protests from residents, Stevenage became the first ‘New Town’ in 1946, housing close to 60,000 people.

‘Stevenage is a very vibrant and diverse place,’ Specsavers store director Adam Lovatt says. ‘Due to the very varied industries based in the town, the residents who have been attracted here are from all areas of the globe. This diversity gives us a wonderful mix of interesting customers to serve,’ he adds.
