Q&A: Maria McAllister, retail sales director, Duncan and Todd

Can you tell me a little bit about your history with Duncan and Todd?

Maria McAllister I first joined Duncan and Todd back in 2011, working as the resident optometrist between our Dundee and Arbroath practices.

A few months into my return from a sabbatical, I was appointed Dundee practice manager and, at this time, the opportunity to study business management through the Robert Gordon University was offered to all managers. As I had newly stepped into my management role, I saw this as a great opportunity to learn and really expand and grow my management skill set.

In 2016, I began my role as professional services business development manager. Primarily, this involved successfully turning around our flagship store in Edinburgh.
