​Marchon Eyewear co-founder Alfred ‘Al’ Berg dies

Marchon Eyewear co-founder Alfred ‘Al’ Berg has died, aged 67.

Berg set up the company in 1983 along with two business partners and became the president and chief executive officer. Marchon was sold to VSP Global in 2008 and holds licenses for Chloé, Calvin Klein and Ferragamo.

Nicola Zotta, Marchon’s current CEO and president, said: ‘Since co-founding Marchon together with Larry Roth and Jeff White, he worked tirelessly for over 25 years to build Marchon into one of the global leaders in the eyewear industry. Al will be greatly missed and we will honour his legacy.’
