Attending healthcare appointments among patient worries

A Zeiss survey has found that patients are worried about attending healthcare appointments

A survey carried out by Zeiss has revealed that 62% of people are more aware of their overall health compared to how they felt before the pandemic.

This increased to 81% among respondents who had been diagnosed with Covid-19 or experienced symptoms and self-isolated.

However, 65% of the 2,000 people surveyed said they feel wary about attending healthcare appointments post lockdown.

Additionally, 58% said they would want to see hand sanitiser available in practices and 53% wanted equipment cleaned before and after use.

Zeiss noted that results featured good news for optical practices as eye tests featured in the top three priorities for people as lockdown eases.
