BCLA announces new conference

The date for a new teleoptometry-focused conference has been released

The date for a new teleoptometry-focused conference has been released by the British Contact Lens Association (BCLA).

A statement from the BCLA said that BCLA Vision would be held online on Sunday, November 7 and would cover how to integrate teleoptometry into an optical business.

‘We have carefully curated a programme featuring the very latest research, with a focus on the innovation and technology available to us today that we should not ignore,’ said BCLA chief executive Luke Stevens-Burt.

The BCLA said the event would feature a number of keynote speakers, including the BCLA Medal address to be delivered by Professor James Wolffsohn and the Pioneers lecture. It added that a live lecture stream would include sessions on tele-optometry in anterior eye practice, technology that has been accelerated due to the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic.
