Bodybuilder achieves perfect vision

Rotherham natural bodybuilder Steven Howarth, who is due to participate in the European Championships, has been reflecting on a decade of using Ortho-k correction.

Howarth now has excellent vision and does not have to use glasses during the day. He said: ‘I was fed up with spending money on glasses, and didn’t get on with daily contact lenses. I didn’t want to go down the laser eye surgery route so this is fantastic.’

The bodybuilder’s optometrist, Terrence English, said: ‘With laser eye surgery, a patient is likely to need further treatment as the person’s prescription changes with age. The great thing about Ortho-k is that it suits children as well as adults, with all of the lens care left at home in the bathroom.’
