Chair moves at FODO

Asda Opticians superintendent optometrist Sarah Joyce took the reins on May 10

Outgoing FODO (Federation of Ophthalmic and Dispensing Opticians) chair Lynda Oliver handed over the reins to Asda Opticians superintendent optometrist Sarah Joyce at the organisation’s AGM on May 10.

FODO managing director Harjit Sandhu paid tribute to Oliver’s time in post: ‘I would like to thank Lynda on behalf of the board and the HQ team for all she has done over the past seven years, including her support in restructuring the association. We could not have wished for a more hard-working, constructive and supportive chair and everyone is delighted that Lynda plans to remain on the board.’

Joyce added: ‘Lynda is a tough act to follow but I give you my commitment that I will do my best for the FODO group, our members from five nations, many disciplines and care models and, of course, for our patients.’
