Dublin student scoops CooperVision project prize

CooperVision has announced the UK and Ireland winner of its Force competition

CooperVision has announced that Ciarán Conway is the UK and Ireland winner of its Force (Future Ocular Research Creativity Event) Student of the Year competition.

Conway, who is a final year optometry student at Dublin University, won for his project on ‘The effectivity of the Topcon Eye-Light in treating meibomian gland dysfunction.’

Pauline Bradford, professional services consultant at CooperVision and panel judge said: ‘With such a diverse range of projects to choose from it was extremely tough to pick just one winner. However, the judging panel felt Ciarán had taken a lot of time to understand the potential impact on contact lens wear and where further research should be done. Congratulations to him once again.’
