Plans have been proposed by EMNUK for a restructuring of its Quedgeley site after a decision was made withdraw the Kodak brand from its lens offering.
EMNUK, an Essilor company that manufactures lenses, explained that the changes would be made by the end of the third quarter 2021. It added that a consultation had been launched for the staff at the site who might be impacted.
Brian Deegan, EMNUK managing director, explained: ‘Full support will be given to staff throughout the consultation period, including the application process for a number of jobs that may be available at other Essilor Group locations, as a result of these proposed changes which place around 40 staff at risk.’
