EssilorLuxottica enlists help in search for CEO

EssilorLuxottica has retained two recruitment agencies to help it find a CEO by the end of 2020.

Its Nomination and Compensation Committee, after consultation with the executive chairman and the executive vice-chairman, agreed on using the agencies, which will search for the new CEO on a ‘best fit for the job principle’.

Candidates will be in charge of coordinating the activities of EssilorLuxottica and assisting the executive chairman and vice-chairman in their integration efforts.

The recently merged company has had a very public disagreement in its search for a new head. Until a new CEO is agreed on, Essilor and Luxottica will ‘remain separate legal entities… under their own leaderships’, a company statement said.
