Naseem Suleman attempted to appear as a fully qualified dispensing optician
A General Optical Council (GOC) fitness to practise committee decided to erase Harrow-based student dispensing optician Naseem Suleman from its register.
The committee found Suleman’s fitness to train impaired both on the grounds of public protection and in the wider public interest.
Suleman provided false GOC registration numbers to appear as a fully qualified dispensing optician and carried out restrictive activities reserved for fully qualified dispensing opticians.
She also attempted to deceive a colleague by telling them she had ‘just qualified two weeks ago’ via electronic communication.
