Grafton Optical: Flexible occluder

Grafton Optical has released Optishield, a flexible optical occluder made of soft silicone that fits neatly onto spectacle lenses when conducting visual assessments.

Available in black or frosted white, the company said the frosted option was suitable for testing children who may become concerned when occluded with black paddles.

Optishield’s soft construction stops lens scratches and the material allows it to be washed and dried between each patient.
