Its site in Puerto Rico has received the Greenovation Award from Kimberly-Clark Professional

CooperVision’s production site in Puerto Rico has received the Greenovation Award from Kimberly-Clark Professional for its sustainability efforts for the second consecutive year.

The Juana Diaz facility diverted 1,601 pounds of difficult to recycle nitrile gloves from landfill in 2019 and turned them into powder, which was moulded into eco-friendly consumer products.

Vimaris Ortiz, senior environmental, health and safety manager for CooperVision’s Puerto Rico facility, said: ‘CooperVision is continuously exploring and implementing ventures around the world that extend our sustainability commitments. Our innovative approaches have even greater impacts when we partner with other organisations who share our dedication.’
