Cheltenham optometrist to feature on new TV show

Cheltenham optometrist Peter Greedy will appear on a new Channel 4 TV show hoping to impress a studio audience and panel of professional buyers to invest in his innovative sports laces.

Greedy, the inventor and owner of Greepers, will be featured in the afternoon show Buy It Now some time in the next four weeks.

Greepers, which replace traditional laces, are designed to help people get in and out of footwear quickly and easily, something crucial in sports such as triathlon where elastic laces are often used. Greepers use a novel locking and release system to allow shoes to be put on and taken off. They differ from elastic laces as they are normal lace material enabling footwear to perform as designed by the manufacturer. The product has been on sale for some time and the website www.greeper.com show several non-sports applications for Greepers.
