Independent celebrates 15th anniversary

Westport based independent Eye World has celebrated 15 years of providing eye care on Market Lane by offering patients the chance to win a hamper worth €1,500.

Anyone who books an appointment at the Hakim Group practice or purchases a product priced over €100 before its birthday on December 16 has the opportunity to win.

Eye World was founded in 2005 by Clodagh McGovern, who has implemented paperless practises, added optical coherence tomography and introduced a children’s room.

McGovern, optometrist and director at the practice, said: ‘When I set up Eye World, I had a vision to eliminate mediocracy within the opticians industry. Our aim was always to have a practice that excelled in technology, use the latest up-to-date equipment and supply the best quality stylish frames and sunglasses in a clinical environment.
