Independent provides services to Salisbury’s homeless

Haine & Smith provided free eye examinations and spectacles to homeless people

Haine & Smith provided free eye examinations and spectacles when required to homeless people in Salisbury on June 24 after the independent hosted its third pop-up centre.

Anna Lewin, clinical lead optometrist and partner at Haine & Smith, said: ‘As Alabaré Place is bigger than the other two homes we’ve visited, we brought two sets of equipment to make sure we could help as many of the residents as possible. A massive thank you needs to go to Thomson Software who have supplied us with the equipment each time, to support these clinics going ahead.’

Haine & Smith tested 15 people at Alabaré, a local homeless charity, including Henry who said his new spectacles would make a big difference to his life.
