Locsu appoints new chair for board

​Dr Joy Tweed has replaced Mike Fegan from June 1 as chair for board

Dr Joy Tweed has been appointed board chair of the Local Optical Committee Support Unit (Locsu) and replaced Mike Fegan from June 1.

Tweed currently holds non-executive roles at the Academy of Healthcare Science/Registration Council of Clinical Physiologists and at St Raphael’s Hospice in Cheam.

‘I am delighted to take up this role. My career began as an ophthalmic nurse at Moorfields Eye Hospital and, although I left nursing to pursue a career in the voluntary sector and then academia, I have maintained a strong interest in eye care,’ Tweed said.
