Maria McAllister appointed retail sales director at Duncan and Todd

Scottish eyecare firm the Duncan and Todd Group has named Maria McAllister as its new retail sales director.

McAllister, who first joined the group as an optometrist in 2011, has fulfilled several positions on her way towards being appointed sales director, occupying a couple of managerial positions at the company. The 29-year-old described her excitement ahead of taking up her new role.

‘Being appointed as a director has been my goal for some years now. I feel a great deal of pride and gratitude to Duncan and Todd,’ she said.

Reporting to Frances Rus, managing director of the group, McAllister will be tasked with increasing the growth and profitability of the retail arm of the company and expressed a desire to influence the optical market in a ‘positive and pioneering manner’.
