New head of Sight Scotland named

Sight Scotland and Sight Scotland Veterans have appointed Craig Spalding as its new chief executive and will take up the role at the charity on January 24, 2022.

Spalding is currently director of the Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service and has been appointed to bring a fresh perspective to Sight Scotland’s mission of reaching everyone living with sight loss in Scotland.

‘To become a part of an organisation with a rich history that makes a difference in the lives of many people in Scotland, along with the ambition to increase our reach to many others is truly motivating and somewhat humbling,’ Spalding said.
