New sponsors for Optician half ironman

Optix and Haine & Smith have become the latest supporters of Optician’s charity half ironman distance triathlon challenge which has already seen £1,600 raised for Blind Veterans UK.

Optician’s editor, Chris Bennett, will be taking part in the Sussex Original Triathlon this Sunday which will see him swim 2km in a lake, cycle 80km around the South Downs and run a half marathon through the grounds of Ashburnham Place.

Bennett has already received support from Marchon, Hoya, Specsavers, Martin Smith Opticians, Rodenstock, AEL Markhams, Nikon, Louis Stone and Greepers. He has also had help with Kit from Aqua Sphere, Greepers and will race in a Nike Hyperforce frame. www.justgiving.com/fundraising/opticianeditor.
