Nikon appoints first female MD

Nikon Optical UK has appointed Jill McLellan as managing director, a move that sees her become the first woman to take on the role.

McLellan joined Nikon as an area account manager for London in 2004 and has worked in a number of positions throughout her career.

‘I am hugely proud to serve as managing director at Nikon Optical UK; a company that has earned my heart and passions over the years to become an extension of my own family,’ McLellan said.

She also noted her excitement for plans to strengthen and grow the independent community by differentiating its partners as the premium market for eye care.
