Vision Care for Homeless People will use April’s Optrafair London exhibition, taking place at the Olympia National (April 11-13, to reach potential volunteer practitioners and to publicise its new centre due to open in central Manchester. ‘We pride ourselves on providing an eye examination which is as good as in any high street practice. We are hugely grateful to our wonderful sponsors for enabling us to achieve this, and to Optrafair for providing us with a platform,’ said Harinder Paul, Vision Care for Homeless People managing director (pictured right). A selection of Optrafair exhibitors have pledged their support to the charity, including Bondeye Optical, Carleton, Specsavers and Thomson Software, which has ensured that the new centre is equipped with advanced diagnostics and equipment. Funding to cover the running costs of the new centre for three years has been given by Optometry Giving Sight – also set to be part of the Optrafair London event.
