OSA: Post-Brexit medical device discussion

The OSA will meet to discuss the impact of Brexit

A discussion on the implications of Brexit on the industry and an in-person members meeting have been announced by the Optical Suppliers Association (OSA).

On June 3, the OSA will meet to discuss post-Brexit medical devices regulation in order to collate comments and questions for the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).

OSA consultant and chair of the meeting, Ann Blackmore, said: ‘It is doubly difficult for medical device manufacturers because the change has coincided with the introduction of new and different rules in the EU. That is why it is so important that the MHRA provides strong support and clear guidance.’
