Johnson & Johnson achieves CE mark approval
Johnson & Johnson has achieved CE mark approval for its Acuvue Oasys with Transitions Light Intelligent Technology contact lens making it available for release in Europe.
The rollout is expected later this year, with the UK to have access to the product by the summer.
The two-weekly CL was claimed to be the first photochromic contact lens protecting the wearer from bright light both indoors and out. ‘After more than a decade of in-depth research and development, including clinical trials of more than 1,000 patients, Acuvue Oasys with Transitions is an exciting and entirely new category of lens, said Sandra Rasche, Area Vice President, EMEA.
