Porn charges for DO

Shropshire dispensing optician Timothy Guy Vanes has been charged with possessing extreme pornographic images with animals and will appear at Shrewsbury Crown Court next week.

Vanes, who is currently suspended by the General Optical Council, pleaded not guilty to the charge at Telford Magistrates Court on December 17, last year.

According a report in Shropshire Star, a sign appeared in the window of Vane’s practice Tim Vane Opticians in Shifnal that read: ‘It is with regret that this practice has ceased trading with immediate effect.’
