The Royal College of Ophthalmologists Examinations Team (RCOphth) has partnered with the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO) to use its facilities for the UK Refraction Certificate exams from 2023 onwards.
Mat Stringer, operations manager at the National Resource Centre (NRC), said: ‘It makes perfect sense for the NRC to provide the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, their students and examiners, with a venue for their refraction exams in 2023 and 2024.
‘Our teams work seamlessly together and the NRC is the perfect facility with the clinical bays, reception, briefing and de-briefing areas all synced for seamless examinations. I hope this collaboration will continue for many more years.’
ABDO’s National Resource Centre (NRC) will be used for sittings every May, September and December.
