Shamir appoints general manager

Shamir UK has promoted dispensing optician Russell Bickle from his role as national sales manager to general manager after displaying leadership during the pandemic.

It said Bickle had adopted additional responsibilities in 2020 and went above and beyond what was expected to keep the company operating.

Bickle has over 20 years of experience in the optical profession, including two years managing Shamir’s sales and marketing team.

A Shamir spokesperson said: ‘Everyone at Shamir UK is delighted that his efforts have been recognised and strongly believe that he will continue to achieve brilliant things for the company as the new general manager.’
