Specsavers has launched a free nationwide video consultation service in order to provide sight and hearing advice and care to patients during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The service has been developed in line with NHS recommendations on remote consultation and can be accessed from any digital device.
Giles Edmonds, clinical services director at Specsavers, said: ‘This is clearly significant given the present restrictions, but it is a service that we plan to continue for the long term to ensure that everyone – especially those who are particularly vulnerable – can access the care and support that they need.’
Patients can access the service via the Specsavers website where they can request an appointment with their local store or phone directly.
