Specsavers sees rise in online CET

Over 800 optical practitioners have enrolled on Specsavers’ distance learning MiniPac programme

Over 800 optical practitioners have enrolled on Specsavers’ distance learning MiniPac programme, which was developed as an online version of the multiple’s CET events that were set to take place nationwide.

Specsavers Professional Training saw a sharp monthly rise in online CET uptake with more than 4,000 points awarded in the previous two months, an increase of 50% from last year.

Director of professional training and development at Specsavers, Gill Robinson commented: ‘It’s been really encouraging to see how many practitioners have embraced the online training alternatives. It seems many clinicians are choosing to use this enforced “quieter period” to further their professional development.’
