Sports accessibility toolkit created

A toolkit designed to make sport more accessible to visually impaired people has launched

Thomas Pocklington Trust has launched a toolkit designed to make sport more accessible to visually impaired people as well as training for leisure and sports providers.

The toolkit included resources such as videos that explored what a visual impairment is, what makes an accessible environment, as well as guiding and communicating.

Knowing that a leisure or sport provider understands their needs, helps increase confidence and makes visually impaired people more likely to choose that place to do exercise.’
