The Outside Clinic has announced plans to fill 35 new vacancies in 2018 in an effort to meet the growing demands for more optometrists.
Opportunities for either a four or five days a week position exist across the country, with the company willing to pay generous location allowances for anyone who is based or wants to move to one of the hard-to-fill areas, including Cornwall, Devon, Kent, Dorset, Norfolk and Suffolk.
At the end of 2017, Specsavers launched a similar ‘earn-and-learn’ scheme to attract optometrists to areas of the country with a shortage of optometrists.
As part of the recruitment drive, The Outside Clinic is offering ‘Taster Experiences’ to any qualified optician who wants a career change.
