VAO rebrands as Vision Action

The charity set out its 2030 strategy to achieve greater impact

Vision Aid Overseas has rebranded as Vision Action as the charity continued to create access to affordable eye care services in low and middle income countries.

Vision Action would keep supporting countries to build vision centres, training the next generation of teachers and eye care professionals, and ensuring schools and communities have access to eye care.

The charity set out its 2030 strategy to achieve greater impact and help more people with the creation of three goals: support development of human resources for eye health; strengthen essential eye health services at schools, communities and vision centres; and promote engagement and mobilisation of communities.

Amber Woodward-Brown, director of fundraising and communications at Vision Action, said: ‘We will be continuing to focus on supporting and building a clearer future for everyone involved in our country programmes, from teachers to students, to the communities we are empowering. This exciting next chapter is supported by our partners throughout the sector and is unpinned by our strategy to 2030, refreshing our commitment to enabling access to eye care for all.’
