Vision Express has asked the public to attend their biannual eye checks

Vision Express has asked the public to attend their biannual eye checks during lockdown and announced that its practices will remain open for routine appointments.

A statement from the multiple explained that, in its research. millions of adults were shown to not have attended regular eye care appointments in over five years, with the coronavirus pandemic a significant reason for putting off their eye examinations.

Dan McGhee, director of professional services at Vision Express, said: ‘All our customers worried about existing appointments can be reassured that these will continue to take place as planned.

‘We are taking the necessary infection prevention control measures being directed from Public Health England, the NHS, regulators and professional bodies to ensure we are following all recommendations.’
