Wirral opticians burgled

Offenders broke into Harris Opticians on June 8

CCTV images have been released as part of an appeal by Merseyside detectives investigating a burglary at a Wirral-based optical practice.

At around 2am on June 8, offenders broke into Harris Opticians on Banks Road in West Kirby and stole a large amount of designer sunglasses.

Detectives have shared images of a tattooed man they believe may have information about the incident to assist enquiries.

Detective Constable John Molyneux said: ‘This incident resulted in a significant financial loss and distress for the owners, at a time where all our local businesses are in the midst of economic hardship. We will continue to support our business communities, find those responsible and put them before the courts.’
